Journey

Crowded Kitchen Island Where English & Spanish Overlapped

Established in 2026, VIP Tamales wasn’t born in a corporate boardroom, but in a crowded kitchen island where English and Spanish overlapped, music played too loud, and the aroma of toasted guajillo and blistered poblanos filled every corner of the house.

We grew up living between two worlds: proud heirs to the sacred, centuries-old Mexican culinary tradition of nixtamal and stone-ground masa, while living the fast, bold rhythm of modern American life. But as the years went by, we noticed something missing in the local food scene. Store-bought tamales were often dry, mass-produced, and skimpy on the filling. We started VIP Tamales to give this culinary staple the respect it deserves.

To us, a tamale isn't just convenience food; it’s an art form. We slow-simmer our braises for hours, and pack every single corn husk from edge to edge. Whether you’re grabbing a quick 3-pack on a busy weekday or feeding three generations around a Sunday dinner table, VIP Tamales delivers unforgettable, crave-worthy flavors that bring people together.
